Winter Immunity Booster tips by The Divine Ginger

How I Boost My Winter Immunity

As the chill of winter sets in, I've discovered a powerful duo that keeps my immune system strong and resilient: Garlic and Ginger! 💪❄️

Benefits of Garlic:
Not only does garlic help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, but it also boasts antimicrobial and antiviral properties that work wonders against the common cold. Packed with vitamins C and B6, manganese, and selenium, it's the allicin, a potent antioxidant, that's believed to be behind its immune-boosting magic.

The Power of Ginger:
Ginger is my other secret weapon, it not only adds zing to dishes but also speeds up digestion. Gingerol, the bioactive compound found in raw ginger, enhances immunity with its antimicrobial and antifungal properties. This rhizome is also rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory goodness.

How do I use them? I brew a comforting tea to strengthen my immune system and ward off those pesky winter infections. Here's how you can do it too

Tea Preparation:
Chop a clove of garlic and a double-sized piece of ginger.
Boil them in 250 ml of water for 5 minutes.
Cover and let it steep for 10 minutes.
Sip, savor, and stay well!

Remember, it's essential to give your body a break after 3-5 days of this routine.
And, as always, consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice before trying any new remedies.
